Does anyone know where all the production cels from Galaxy Rangers went? Does TMS have them stored away? Only A few have made it to Ebay and to cel dealers. Perhaps Robert Mandell could shed some light on their whereabouts. If found, the sales of them could help fund future projects.

Okay, I have one of Goose.
But, the whole series? I don't know. That would be a question Bulnub might know about.

The ones Ive found so far haven't been up to my standards.

Robert has a sad story about the cells...he had all of them and then none of them...see if he wants to shed some light on it.

back in the day of hand painted cels, a studio would destroy all cels at the end of production. For 65 episodes you're talking hundreds of thousands of cels. I asked TMS to send me 200 boxes (about 100 scene folders in each). Only a fraction of the total but it was better than nothing. When the boxes showed up, they almost filled the entire office! Everyone knew I was crazy anyway insisting on keeping the cels and I finally agreed we couldn't possibly keep the boxes in the office and it was a fortune to store them in air controlled storage. So we opened a few and let everyone take what they wanted then stored the remaining boxes in a cheap warehouse. As the years slipped away, the cost of keeping the space just got to be too much. And the cels themselves were degrading in hot NY summers and freezing winters. And well...eventually they got tossed. So there are some original cels flying about the universe.
There are serio-cels or something that Disney does, collectible "reprint" cels with seals of authenticity but I never really explored that license. Anyone have any insight into those kind of cels?

Several years ago some of the anime dealers had a few, which led me to believe the cels were in Japan. Perhaps they didn't actually destroy all of them.
Thanks Bulnub, for the story. It really shows your passion and appretiation towards the Galaxy Rangers.

bummer.
Everyone got proto-types of the Galaxy Ranger badges that were being produced when there was the chance of a toy. I lent mine to my nephew for show & tell. He lost it. sigh.
But I still have the original cardboard fold-out that was used to pitch the series.
And all the Roy Rodger Kids Meals...
