Wouldn't it be just really awesome, if someone(hint, hint) re-released all 65 episodes from 1986, completely redone in the brand spanking new 3D technology we have pioneered today? Glasses included of course! Perhaps in a Complete Series Mega-Set . . .

I can't think of any black outline animation made in 3-D. (I would think the outline around the characters would create a cardboard cutout effect in 3-D.) Can anyone think of some of the older 3-D effects done in that style of artwork? (I don't think that the new 3-D TV's will become commonplace for at least 3 to 4 years.)

Well, when I said "pioneered today", that statement was pretty much a subtle nod that aludes to the fact, that we all know that our new 3-D technology is still in the early stages of it's being re-developed(so far, successfully in theaters, I.E. "Avatar" and so on, and for TV sets in homes all across the world, like the 3-D TV's you mentioned). Basically, who can truly say, just how much they're going to improve this actually old medium of visual effects technology over the next few years. Plus, it's more than a little likely that even if the "exact technology" we needed to convert the old episodes into 3-D existed RIGHT NOW, with the Rangers in "unfortunate and saddening" remission(as they have been for some time now) as far as any new projects or undertakings being initialized for them . . . it would probably take at least a "minimum" of 3 to 4 years just to convince enough owners and sponsors to take on such a project.

And if we still continue thinking realistically, more likely a lot more years after that, for it to actually get started in the process of being done with any type of quality. When I wrote this really "wishful" topic post, I knew that we currently don't have the proper technology to make the old eighties episodes 3-D. But I decided to write this topic post anyway, with the notion of discovering if there were any fans out there that would actually vocalize a desire to see those old shows in 3-D! Kind of like a poll, if you will . . . with the hint to E1 that if such a thing ever does become possible, that they should consider doing it. So, I must ask(and reword), would anyone out there, who's a Galaxy Rangers fan, really WANT to see the old episodes remade into 3-D, if they could be, with excellent quality? I'm one fan, Just curious . . . and thanks rojdojranger for posting. All imput is welcome!

You and me both, rojdojranger! I'm not giving up on the hope that one day Hollywood will create a brand spanking new way of re-making the original Galaxy Rangers episodes into 3-D. If it does become something that can be done with quality, then the first 65 episodes would sure look great, and perhaps be the catalyst for the show's return in today's all new 3-D crazed society of productions. But, looking at this topic from the other side, if such a method never does become reality then, we still do not have a problem . . . what better show than a space western like The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers to make an all new 3-D film(live action or otherwise) out of! Or maybe even, after enough years have passed, an all new 3-D TV show to air on some of the all new 3-D cable channels I've heard are being developed! There's no reason why such a great sci-fi show like the Galaxy Rangers, with such a well fleshed out universe, should be staying on the side lines these days! I can't imagine what's holding them back! Of all the shows, I've seen be re-made from 80's classics (that haven't been considered yet), the Galaxy Rangers holds the most potential, and overall appeal to nearly every type of demographic group that exists today!

Has any of the owners of the Galaxy Rangers even imagined just how cool an all new Galaxy Rangers 3-D, computer animated movie would be? I can only wonder, but just the thought of it, has merit beyond all recognition. If "how to train your dragon" can be made, then why not the Galaxy Rangers 3-D movie? Someone in Hollywood needs to wake up and see this shows grand potential for what it is! What do the rest of you, fellow Rangers Fans think about this? So say we all? Or, SO SAY WE ALL!
