Has anyone ever asked the question . . . just which characters of the Galaxy Rangers's old cast are still modern enough creations to holdup to today's standards of TV? Are all of them? Are none of them? As they are right now would Zach, Niko, Gooseman, and Doc translate well in a fast paced society of shows like we have today? And would any of the other heroes or their supporting cast?. Plus, what about the villians? Is it a valid assumption that the Queen of the Imperial Crown, Lazuras Slade, Daisy Omega, Macross, and the Supertroopers would also fit in just fine? Inquiring minds can only guess, any thoughts anyone?

While I was reviewing some episodes of G.R. on Hulu.com, I came to an unusual realization. Many of G.R's lawless characters have very distinctive ethnic or cultural stereotypes. We've all seen how ethnic & cultural heritage groups have been publicly outraged by characters that "misrepresent" the proud & diverse culture or ethnicity of their group. An example of this outrage occured when Star Wars Episode One was released. S.W's Jar Jar Binks took some criticism by African-American heritage groups for misrepresenting ebonic-style speech patterns as language used by simpletons. Could characters like Daisy O'mega offend Irish E & C heritage groups if a new G.R. project was created? Should such groups be ignored for their politcal overcorrectness? Should the character McCross proudly display Scottish (Is that a Tartin McCross wears?) clothing? Or would such a choice essentially place a new G.R. project-like a deer in the headlights-in the path of a speeding political correctness monster truck?
